C3 hosted “The 2020 Vision Conference” to educate and motivate underrepresented communities on 3 major topics:
Mental Health Awareness by Dr. T. Charles Brantley Founder and Licensed Therapist of Total Relationship Trainer (Counseling). Dr. Brantley covered the stigma around mental health and teach the audience about signs of anxiety, depression, suicide, and other mental health concerns, coping mechanisms, and resources that individuals can seek for help. This session allowed people to reflect on their mental health, know when to take mental health days and breaks at work, and also when to seek professional help.
Financial Literacy by Chellis Allen, Founder and Financial Consultant of Eveready Consulting, LLC. Ms. Allen shared helpful tools, resources, and best practices needed to be financially free, so we can all think smarter and not harder when it comes to investing and being financially literate in 2020!
Career Development by Armando Jimenez, Associate Director of Employer Partnerships at Yale School of Management. Mr. Jimenez covered the importance of mentors, sponsors, internships, networking, professional development courses, education, training, overcoming adversity, and taking other actions to truly see a clear vision for your future in 2020.
Goal Tracking by Christina Edwards, Founder and CEO of C3 Career Consulting, LLC covered best practices for creating and executing goals in 2020 to advance your personal and professional development.
